My Music Roots--Where it all began!!!

Hutzler's Time Machine
My Musical Roots----"The Big Ole Gibson
"
As I begin this Journey on the origin of my Music,
I would like to share the first memory that I had as a little boy growing up in a home where Music was always being Played. I can remember my Father playing a big ole guitar called the Jumbo Gibson. He played so well, but could not read sheet music of any kind. He was self taught. He could listen to a song and then pick up his guitar and replay the song almost as he heard it. You can check out my Bio Page to get a little taste of His History with playing in bands and always being the one to entertain at family gathering.
As I got to be the age of around 7-8 I really liked plucking the strings and hearing the sound come out of the big hole in the center of the guitar.
But I had One Problem,,,IT WAS TO BIG for me to hold up and even touch the stings. At this stage in my life I had already determined that I was going to be LEFT HANDED. (if I'd only had realized what difficulty it was going to be living in a right hand world) i might of changed,,,or maybe not!!
So with that being said,,,I tried to pick up the guitar, but it was too big. I would watch my father teach my 2 older brothers how to strum an
d make cords with their fingers. But for me my Father would just tell me it was too hard teaching me how to play holding the guitar the wrong way.
I would watch and watch until One day I decided to just lay down the Big Ole Guitar and by placing the pick in my left hand, I found that I could bring my right hand over the top of the guitar place my fingers where I would watching my Dad and brother place their fingers and found I could make cords... As time went on I practiced and practiced,,all the time. I wanted to play the guitar.
It was from the very first strum that I knew I COULD DO IT....
One of the first times I can remember I was making a trip up to Payson, Arizona with my Parents to spend a weekend with my Aunts and Uncles. We would make 2 stops on the way up there. The first was at the Sunflower Bar, in Sunflower Arizona. I would get up and play a song or two with the band.

Then it was the 2nd stop to the Historical Oxbowl INN located in Payson , Arizona I was probably 12 or 13 years of age at this time and I remember sitting in a High Bar stool Playing the Boogy Woogy song that I had learned from my Dad. As I finished people would come up to me and shove money down my shirt and place it in my Cowboy Hat. I thought this is pretty cool. I started to really love the idea of playing music and entertaining people at a very young age. Singing the country hits at the time was also a lot fun, I would listen on the Radio, and write down the words as fast as I could on paper and play it over and over again. I had no Recorder until a few years after all of this. I never learned to read music, I would hear it and then figure it out on the guitar, just like my father. THANKS DAD

Well, here is the long awaited Music Video for everyone to enjoy. This Song is available to purchase on I-Tunes. Title is "The Brick" by Dave Hutzler
If anyone can find a reason for calling this "a song with Explicit Lyrics,,,,please let me know". I am trying to fix that issue. Being crude and indecent does not exist here in this song. I hope you all enjoy the Music and the story that is told in this professionally recorded track.

"The Brick"

"The Brick" This Music Video has been such a neat experience for me to Create. I have had the greatest opportunities to express feelings and emotions with this Song. The comments that I received from Facebook and other places lets me know that it is a very special song. Being in the right places and meeting the right people gave me the chance to professionally record this single. My Dreams have always been to get inside the studio and record voice and music. I have been playing all my life and enjoy just picking up the guitar and allowing my thoughts to "run with the strings".
This path that I have been on to get here has taking some time, but I know with all of my heart I am supposed to be creating music, stories and experiences that i have had throughout my life.
I learned at a very young age that being in front of people was really fun and to be honest with everyone, I never got scared,,,well maybe once or twice, around 7-8 years of age. I will be attempting to turn back the pages of time and share with all of you the beginnings of my self taught talent of playing the guitar and entertaining crowds of people. I hope you will all enjoy the story and follow along as I bring everyone up to the present time on: Dave Hutzler
