Modeling ??? To Latter Day Saint MISSIONARY in CANADA,,,1977-1979
I wanted to get involved with the acting industry and was counseled to get a Professional Portfolio. So that is what I did. I was working and saving my money still playing with the band and enrolled in a Acting Class in Phoenix. It was a small time company that encouraged getting a wide selection of Photos.
(As you can see by the photos to the right) the Style was pretty cool , so I thought. I composed the portfolio and did a few commercials here in Phoenix. I Never had enough cash to hire the right people so I had the Idea I was going to move to California and go see what was out there. So that is what I did. I was going to work during the day in Construction and go to Acting class and modeling classes at night. WOW!! What a experience.
I did Move over there and lived with a some friends for about 4 months. I got a Construction Job, and tried to get connected to the proper people. What I had to learn all by myself was that everyone that wanted to get a modeling job or acting job was doing the same thing. There were so many guys and girls trying to tackle the same schedule. It was difficult for me because I really wanted to try my best with acting and modeling. I presented my Portfolio to a few companies, and the response was about the same,, "looks good and if something comes up we will call."
Time went by and no Calls,,maybe I was not supposed to be doing this I really didn't know????
So,, It was back to Arizona and for a lifestyle change that was about to come into my life.
PERSONAL LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE
.......after returning home I had a wonderful experience that changed my attitude about what was really important for me. It is hard for me to explain, but I will give it hard shot.
I was doing things for me...all for me, I wanted to be a better person and give of my talents that My Father in Heaven blessed me with. SO,, I went in and counceled with my Bishop from my Church. Back in High School I converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Known to a lot of people as the "Mormons" listening to Him and many others I went contemplated on what was going to be the best for me. I was so unsure.
